The high school student teaching practice and community service art team of Yueming Art Studio, led by high school student Berne Chu, is enthusiastic about serving the Hayward community and bringing art to the community! In June this summer, the team collaborated with Hayward Library to successfully hold the "Art at the Library: Meet Miro" event, which was well received by children, parents, and the community. Yueming Art Studio’s teaching practice for high school students and community art service team: This team was founded and led by Berne Chu. The main members are composed of current high school students. Each of them is caring and has loved painting since childhood. Art, all are young painters with more than ten years of painting experience. They are working hard to convey their understanding of art painting to children and have the enthusiasm to give back to the community through art.

月明艺术工作室高中生教学实践，及社区艺术服务团队：该团队是由Berne Chu 创办并领导的，主要成员由在读的高中生組成，他們每位成员都是富有爱心，并且从小开始热爱绘画艺术，都拥有超过十年的绘画经验的小画家，他們正在为向小朋友传递他们对艺术绘画的理解，和抱着通过艺术回馈社区的热忱，而在努力工作中。
I have over thirteen years of art experience in a variety of mediums. I can switch between mediums including pencil, watercolor, acrylic, and digital illustration. I like to experiment with different compositions and blending of different artistic styles including Chinese ink painting, anime/manga, and Western naturalistic illustration. I use traditional forms of medium to draw objects from real life, and I use digital art to depict magic in a fantasy world. Although Digital art is harder to use than traditional mediums because the colors and brushes are more versatile, it also allows more freedom in terms of the texture of the piece.
I also have abundant experience in working with kids, as I am the main teacher of a children's art club called Art Together. In January 2021, I established Art Together, an art club for children housed within the non-profit organization Love Thy Neighbor. There are fifty members between ages 5-12; we meet monthly on Zoom to draw for two hours on a topic of my choosing. Throughout these two years, I found out that every child is born an artist and I want to help them continue expanding their own unique art style.

I had started working with art ever since I was 4 years-old, learning to draw and make crafts. I have experience using many different materials to draw and just make art in general. Besides creating art itself, I also like to teach and help kids to learn the fun of making art. I believe that kids have a lot of creativity in themselves because they don’t have a limited thinking of what they can or cannot create. Teaching kids can help me understand their thinking through what they express in art. And being able to teach art to less experienced kids is inspiring because being able to teach something to someone also helps me understand more about myself.
